What is One Alberta?

Alberta is a diverse landscape with people from every province in Canada. We regularly cooperate with our neighbors to the South to ensure a benign relationship that is prosperous for everyone involved. We aim to restore Albertan's sense of community while bolstering our economy.

This Movement was created to address the misinformation being promulgated by the Alberta government. In the world of Alberta politics, it seems the UCP's recent legislative moves have stirred up more drama than a soap opera at a town hall meeting. Critics are waving their metaphorical pitchforks, decrying what they see as a power play worthy of a Shakespearean tragedy—or comedy, depending on one's political leanings. With bills flying through the legislature faster than a prairie windstorm, it's hard for anyone to keep up with what's happening. And amidst the uproar, local municipalities are putting up billboards that might as well read, "Don't tread on me, or you'll find your lawn signs repurposed as protest placards!" It's politics with a side of poutine—distinctly Canadian and a bit messy.

Issues, such as our healthcare, public services, and quality of education, are important bastions of democracy that we can all agree need to be protected. One Alberta strives to restore our sense of community as Albertans and strengthen our bond as neighbours regardless of political beliefs. We are a group built on the founding principles of diversity, multiculturalism, and open-mindedness are the foundation for a strong, benevolent democracy.

We welcome people from all backgrounds in the pursuit of rebuilding our province into a strong, welcoming community.
